Shannon M. Sprague comes to yoga with over 20 years of a personal practice as well as an extensive background and education in physical therapy, massage therapy, yoga teaching and energy work. She meets life where she is and teaches from the heart, sharing her own experiences as “grist for the mill” for practice. Shannon weaves all 8 limbs of yoga into her classes including philosophy from Yogic Scripture such as the Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads and more. Her classes are a combination of slow and gentle yoga, breath work, and meditation. She invites everyone to live their yoga by “bringing your life to your mat and your practice to your life.” Shannon obtained her 200 hour teaching in the Anusara lineage and has advanced teacher training through the Kripalu yoga tradition.

Her passion is making a holistic yoga practice accessible to ALL people including individuals with self-imposed limitations, physical impairments, disease processes, dysfunction or any other obstacles. If you can breathe, you can do yoga! Her experience and education provide her the tools to make this possible in her classes. Some of her students come with spinal cord injuries, orthopedic dysfunction, scoliosis, metabolic diseases, autoimmune disorders, cancer, post-surgical, PTSD and more.
